Five things that never use a contact
No contact found
The profile published nothing? You see the empty result and nothing is used.
Rate-limited or failed lookups
If Instagram throttles the request or it fails for any reason, nothing is used.
Contacts found behind a bio link
When Instagram has nothing and IGHunter checks the pages the bio links to, whatever it finds there is free — with or without an account.
Re-opening an unlocked profile
A profile costs one contact, once. Opening it again is instant and free — even after deleting it from your list.
Your other devices
A profile unlocked on your laptop is already unlocked on your desktop. Same account, same list, nothing used twice.
